Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is simply the greatest racing circuit in the world. This 7.004-kilometer Belgian masterpiece carves through the Ardennes forest, featuring the legendary Eau Rouge / Raidillon complex that has terrified and thrilled drivers in equal measure since 1925. At over 7 kilometers, it's the longest track on the F1 calendar.
The iconic uphill charge through Eau Rouge, taken flat-out by modern F1 cars at 340 km/h, is motorsport's ultimate test of courage. The track combines this with the technical precision required at the bus stop chicane and the commitment needed through Blanchimont and Pouhon. Spa's notorious microclimates mean rain can fall on one part of the circuit while another remains dry, adding an extra layer of strategic complexity.
The Belgian Grand Prix has produced countless legendary moments: Mika Häkkinen's audacious overtake on Schumacher around the outside at Kemmel in 2000, the chaotic 1998 pile-up, and dramatic championship battles that have cemented Spa's status as the most beloved circuit in Formula 1.
