Red Bull Ring
The Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, is one of the shortest but most exciting tracks on the Formula 1 calendar. This 4.318-kilometer circuit set in the stunning Styrian mountains features just 10 corners but offers incredible racing thanks to its dramatic elevation changes and three DRS zones that create constant overtaking opportunities.
The track's compact layout and Alpine setting make it a fan favorite, with spectators able to see almost the entire circuit from various vantage points. The uphill run from Turn 1 to Turn 3 and the long straights between corners mean cars run relatively low downforce, enabling competitive slipstream battles throughout the race.
Austria has hosted some memorable battles, including the controversial 2016 collision between Hamilton and Rosberg on the final lap, and Verstappen's thrilling late-race pass on Leclerc in 2019 that signaled the emergence of a new rivalry at the top of Formula 1.
